If something goes wrong

The cases below are those of the path. Each one points back to the step where it appears.

The server does not respond

Message: « No se llega al servidor ».

Start PostgreSQL (Windows Services, service postgresql-x64-…, Iniciar) and check that the server is 127.0.0.1 and the port is 5432.

Seen at the step create the project.

Password rejected

Message: « Usuario o contraseña incorrectos ».

Check the postgres password. It is case-sensitive. If your local PostgreSQL does not ask for one, leave Clave empty: the text « solo en este equipo » is a hint, not the password.

Seen at the step create the project.

No permission to create a database

Message: « Tu usuario no puede crear bases en ese servidor ».

Use postgres, or request the CREATEDB right for your user.

Seen at the step create the project.

The database already exists

Message: « La base «clientes» ya existe… ».

NEXOS does not delete this database: the project uses it as it is. To follow the screenshots, change the name of the new database, or delete the old one in pgAdmin.

Seen at the step create the project and in the prerequisites.

The explorer shows only icons

Click » at the top left.

Seen at the step open the database.

The Tablas folder is not visible

Expand with the arrows: Bases de datos › clientes › Esquemas › public.

Seen at the step open the database.

The connection stays on Conectando

After 30 seconds, « No se pudo conectar — clic para reintentar » appears. Check that PostgreSQL is running, then click that message.

Seen at the step open the database.

Problemas says the database is not up to date

After Confirmar, Problemas says that the database is not up to date.

Click Revisar y aplicar on that line. NEXOS shows the SQL and what it could not do on its own. If this is about deleting a column, the data-loss box must be checked before Aplicar en la base. The sequence is in remove a field.

Seen after confirm the table.

A required field cannot be added

The table already has rows. Give the field a default value, or leave it optional. NEXOS reports this instead of failing.
