Local PostgreSQL: the Clientes project

At the end of this tutorial, without writing SQL, you will have:

  • a Clientes project, with its clientes database created by NEXOS in your PostgreSQL;
  • the cliente table, created by a right-click on « Tablas », drawn in full (fields, required, unique) before the database is touched, then created all at once when you choose « Confirmar »;
  • that table viewed and edited from the diagram;
  • a field renamed without losing data, and a field removed after NEXOS asked for confirmation.

The interface labels are those on the screen, in Spanish, so you can find the command.

Path

  1. Before you start
  2. Create the project and its database
  3. Open the database
  4. Create the cliente table
  5. The table in the diagram
  6. The fields
  7. Confirm the table
  8. Rename a field
  9. Remove a field
  10. Check the result

Two pages complete the path: if something goes wrong and what NEXOS does.

The path was followed with the development Studio, against a local PostgreSQL. The original PDF states that the portable NEXOS Studio.exe shows the same screens; that was not verified.
